Swatch & Review: Cult Nails ‘Let Me Fly’

“Flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”
~ Douglas Adams, English writer/humorist, 1952 – 2001

It’s been a while since I’ve featured a Cult Nails polish! Which is a shame because I actually own and love several of them! So I’m going to be making more of an effort to feature them. For those of you who are new to this brand, it is run by a nail blogger turned polish maker! Teetering the line between indie and mainstream (they are manufactured out of her home, but she creates the colors and formulas) this brand has always fascinated me. The owner, Maria, is extremely active on social media and her loyal following and customer base continues to grow.

Let Me Fly is described by Cult Nails as “vividly pigmented dusty turquoise base, paired with…dazzling silver shimmer.” I adore dusty shades, and this is no exception. This is one of my go to shades because it packs a whole lot of texture into one polish. This is far from a basic flat shade. In sunlight the shimmer flashes colors. In darker lighting it doesn’t lose it’s texture – the shimmer is still visible.

Formula was easy to work with – applied evenly and took two coats for coverage shown here.

First picture is using a matte top coat (I used Butter London Matte Finish)
Second picture is with Seche Vite
Third picture is with Seche Vite and in darker lighting

You can purchase Cult Nails polish via their website and store. Let Me Fly currently runs $12
You can also find them on Facebook
