OPI Fly was a part of their Nicki Minaj Collection. When the collection first came out, this was one of the few shades that caught my attention. However, I have a fairly large backlog of untried polishes (especially mainstream ones since I love swatching indies!) so I try not to purchase additional ones unless I must have it right now. You know how it is!

So luckily for my one of my dear friends, and a fellow polish lover (I am making sure to convert my friends, one by one), had it and offered to lend it to me. Sadly this happened right before my hiatus and site move, so it ended up being a little bit of a polish jacking (what I lovingly refer to as any polish ‘borrowing’ arrangement that extends well beyond the realm of an appropriate time frame). This wasn’t helped by the fact that I love this polish. I swatched it on my left hand and immediately did a full mani because it was so pretty.

Fly is a beautiful deep sky blue creme. Extremely opaque – for photography purposes I did two coats but you might be able to get away with one). I love this shade because to a certain extent it reminds of Zoya ‘Robyn’ – but slightly dustier, perhaps a more grown up version. No formula issues.
